Anica works alternatively in painting and steel sculptures and uses vivid colors and textures to describe sites, experiences and emotions.  Her paintings are a reflection of her intense perception of modern life.

The works presented here represent a good sample of her art.  the paintings integrate materials that she collects through her travels, and although they may seem randomly placed, each one has a specific design, purpose, or a message.

She plays with darks and lights, cool and warm colors, space and message.   The pieces of maps, newspapers, and brocades blended into her canvases represent her way to dialogue with you through her work.

Anica was born in Lima, Peru in 1952.  She currently lives in Miami.  Her work is in private collections in Peru, Venezuela, Mexico, Israel, and Switzerland and throughout the United States.
