This series explores the unusual antique wooden  doors off the Coasts of the Mediterranan.  Gallipoli was my first of the series.  It is an ancient town on the heel of Italy’s boot.  

Some of the pictures are from Antibes, a Mediterranean resort in the Alpes Maritimes of Southern France between Cannes and Nice. 

 The doors tell the story of civilizations that traveled the Mediterranean Sea, its locks the perils of its hardy residents, leaving the rest of the story to the imagination.
